Emilie and I go way back. . . back in the days when we were pumping our bangs full of Aqua Net and wearing Express shoes from Mervyn’s. Man, those were the days. So I was ecstatic to find out that she was, not only getting married, but moving down to San Diego as well. This girl deserves the best and in Lowell, I realized, that she will finally get the love that she deserves in him. These two are so dang cute together! It’s evident in most of the frames as they cracked jokes with one another. Here are a few shots we did from their session. Congrats, you two!!

And I can’t forget to mention that hair and make up was done by the uber talented Alpha B. of Sweet Fuss Hair & Artistry. She’s the bomb!

A few months ago, my cousin BJ got a hold of me to let me know that she was getting murried. Murried? Yes, murried! And I was honored when she asked us to photograph their special day. We sat for almost two hours sipping coffee as I listened to how these two met and how they’ve been inseparable ever since. Jhonno has the most infectious laugh and I knew right away that that was one attribute that won my cousin over; He makes her smile.

The bride & her bridesmaids got ready at the Lafayette Park Hotel and finally made our way to The Brazilian Room at Tilden Park in Berkeley where they had the beautiful ceremony & reception. I have to mention their cake. . . it has to be THE best cake I have ever tasted and I have to thank Masse’s Pastries in Berkeley for making such a delectable and unbelievably delicious cake!

Right after the ceremony we headed a few steps away to the Regional Park Botanical Garden where we photographed a few stolen moments of the newlyweds. After the reception, we followed them to the after party at a bar in Alameda called the Lucky 13, which is actually the bar where they met. Good times. . .

We’re a little late posting this event up but it’s well worth the wait! We were honored to photograph Ankh Marketings Five Year Anniversary party featuring Mos Def, Dead Prez, Goapele, Dave Chappelle, Super Natural, Bay Area’s own San Quinn and Big Von.
