I’ve seen Erykah Badu perform numerous times but let me tell ya, regardless of that, she always entertains. She is such a talented performer and has a way with connecting with her audience, it’s hard to keep your eyes off her. And who could have asked for a better venue? This was our first time photographing at the Fox Theater in Oakland and it was gorgeous! Lighting was on point and the decor was, man. . . wow (for lack of a better word). We were a little bummed that we missed Goapele. We didn’t expect for them to start the show exactly when the doors opened. Oh well. At least we were able to catch Dave Chappelle introduce Badu. Still funny as ever.
