It was our absolute pleasure photographing E.J. and Beverly’s wedding. Like I said during the earlier teaser blog, it was probably the most emotional weddings that I’ve ever attended but it was beautiful, nonetheless. These two have known each other since they were kids, all thanks to their parents who are straight homies. We didn’t take the photo of them above but I had to include it in this post because I think they are just so dang cute!
I’ve never seen Amari so involved with post-production work as I saw him with Beverly and E.J.’s. Not because they needed work but he had trouble picking out his favorites. After it all, he ended up choosing 100+ to post into this blog. A first for us. . . A little overwhelming but Amari really wanted to post their story. I’m going to attempt to put in some narration so you can understand why it was so emotional. So with no further ado, here is just a little interpretation of their special day. . .

I really love the frame below. It has Beverly in the foreground and her late mom’s photo in the background. (. . . and thus the emotions start to build up for me again. . .) Beverly’s mom passed away a few years ago from cancer so it was important to us to make sure that we included her as part of the wedding as we could knowing that she would have been so proud of her Beng!

Aww, Nicole. . . Beverly’s cousin who missed her Senior Prom to be a part of their wedding. Such a trooper!

Galaya amazed by the airbrushing that The Make Up Girl, Lanay was doing for make up. Flawless!

Meet Myra, Beverly’s younger and only sister. . .

Aww, such sisterly love!!

Meet E.J.’s mom. . . she came over to get her make up done from the incredible Make Up Girl.![]()

Here’s Beverly’s dad. Cool, collected. . . playing “The Way You Look Tonight” on loop. So funny but it was amazing to see how much he took care and loved his little girls.

Meet Katrina, E.J.’s youngest and only sister. . . (see, too many parallels between these two, right?)

Here’s E.J. and the fellas getting ready.

Here are the images from the ceremony. . .

Hey, E.J. . . “It’s justa like a chopastick. . .”

Here’s Beverly headed to light her mother’s remembrance candle:

Dad and family couldn’t hold back the tears. . . and honestly, neither could I.

E.J. & Beverly then proceeded to offer flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary but not before honor their mothers as well. In this case, Beverly’s dad accepted the bouquet on her mom’s behalf.

During the blessing of the couple, E.J.’s dad snatched a photo op!

Time to celebrate! The ladies fist pumped their way out to Usher/Will.i.am’s OMG. . .

I swear these two are just so made for each other. . .

The speeches. . . Katrina proclaiming her role as Maid of Honor #1. . .

The OG homies. . .

You guessed it. . . Myra caught it which means dad will have to redo this all over again soon!

Calling it a night. . .

Like E.J. said, this is his album cover. . .
